Chorley based for Chorley residents
The end of 2024 marked 18 months of housing vulnerable residents in our supported accommodation. We have also started to work with people in the community.Since we started we:Housed 13 people that were homeless or at risk.
8 people moved on and 4 of these have regular contact and continued coaching support. 5 were planned moves, positive or both. 6 community beneficiaries are regular attendees at our group Personal Development programme. All 6 of our current residents have made progress toward being tenancy ready whilst being with us. 17 community beneficiaries have received support. 10 received 1 to 1 coaching support. 4 received personal/ relationship support. 3 receives support obtaining white goods. We will update this every 6 or 12 months |

Who for?Individuals with financial challenges, struggling self employed people and small business owners who are at risk of financial hardship and those who need to improve their employability/ career progression to avoid financial difficulties.
Using the same coaching principles we empower the homeless and those at risk of homelessness to manage their own home and move toward improvement and personal growth. |
Most websites have a Home page. This got us thinking; why a 'Home' page? What is it about the first page of a website that demands such a title? The truth is, it should be called 'The Front Door'. Everything that is, and everything that happens, behind the 'front door' is what makes a home. A website is made up of many pages, just like a home is made up of many rooms, but it is the people that look after it, that join us and make their 'home' here by caring about it and regularly visiting, that make it a home to enjoy.
Housing isn't enough. At Heart for Chorley we put the people at the centre of our work because a home is not made up of bricks and mortar. It is made up of people, relationships and experiences. We thought we would share one of the many scribble pad sheets that have helped us along this journey: |
