£26,325 p/a pro rata (£21,060 p/a. Avg 30hrs weekly flexible over 7 days @£13.50 p/hr). Days off to be arranged and some weekend work is expected. Annual leave 28 days pro rata inc Bank Holiday entitlement. |

Summary of role |

Housing support for vulnerable adults |
Assessing & interviewing potential residents |
Maintaining accurate records such as Support Plans, Risk Assessments |
Conducting relevant building & room inspections |
Coaching tenancy readiness |
Support staff & volunteers |
Organising & facilitating meetings |
Assisting with correspondence relating to housing & financial support |
Supporting through addiction recovery |
Reporting back to line managers & trustees |
Assisting in running the Charity where it relates to housing support |
Liaise with official bodies, tradespeople & the Charity’s partners |
Signposting & assisting residents to appointments |
Some flexibility needed as some days are busier than others.
This is a new role and may change as we grow. Regular training, supervisions and appraisals will be conducted by your line management plus peer-to-peer.

High levels of compassion & understanding of homelessness & related issues |
Health & Social care or equivalent qualification especially relating to housing support |
Minimum 2 years supporting vulnerable people |
Experience supporting people in a housing setting |
Evidenced understanding of the complexities of relapse & recovery |
Understanding of legal requirements in a supported housing setting |
ITC skills/ Microsoft Office – especially Excel & Word & report writing |
Knowledge & experience of the social benefits system |
Financially capable |
Experience in managing property in a housing support setting |
Problem solving & solutions focussed |
Experience of lone working & minimising the associated risks |
Support work/ coaching skills/ life skills training |
Existing knowledge of & relationship with relevant local agencies & services |
High level of organisation skills & self-starter |
Supervisory or line management experience |
Excellent communication skills |
